What is Third Party Administrator?

Third Party Administrators are intermediaries who connect insurance companies, policyholders ie insurers and health care service providers ie hospitals in India. We can also say third-party administrator (TPA) is an organization that processes insurance claims against insurers policy as per your health insurance card of your mediclaim policy in India. Some of insurance companies has their internal TPA & some has external TPA. Generally insurance companies provide their TPA list with insurance policy as well as while filling proposal form. You may also asked for hospital list before getting insurance policy from your insurance companies check whether hospital your are looking for at your native place or near by in under that insurance company TPA list or not?.
